The brand

OAS was born from a Swedish summer ritual — Oliver Adam Sebastian's annual escapes from Scandinavia's long winters to the warmth of the Mediterranean. What started as bringing espadrilles back for friends became a full resort brand, built on the idea that good clothes should feel like a holiday.

Designed in Stockholm and produced in Portugal, OAS pieces are made to be worn at the beach, the bar, and everywhere in between. The brand's terry cloth shirts — looped cotton in a broad range of colourways — have become a cult item worldwide for exactly that reason. Relaxed enough for the sand, sharp enough for dinner.

OAS sits in a rare position — a Scandinavian brand that thinks entirely in summer. Everything the label makes is designed around the idea of being somewhere warm, moving slowly, and dressing well without effort.

The brand's aesthetic draws from the 1970s Mediterranean — bold colour, relaxed silhouettes, natural fabrics. But the production is very much modern: made in Portugal with a focus on quality that outlasts the holiday.

At The Rake we stock OAS because it fills a gap in the Australian market. The pieces work as well in Newcastle in January as they do anywhere in Europe in July. Resort wear that isn't precious about where you wear it.

How does OAS sizing run?

Yes — we ship to every state and territory in Australia via Australia Post. Free standard shipping on all orders over A$200. Express shipping available at checkout for A$15. Orders are dispatched within 1 business day from our Newcastle store.

Machine wash cold, gentle cycle. Tumble dry low or hang to dry. Avoid high heat — it can affect the loop texture of the terry. The cotton will soften further with each wash.
