VEJA

VEJA was founded in 2004 and publishes more about how its trainers are made than most footwear brands. The soles use wild rubber bought directly from rubber tappers in the Amazon, at a premium over the market price. The cotton is organic, grown by farmer associations in Brazil and Peru, and other uppers use mesh made from recycled plastic bottles and recycled polyester. The shoes are made in factories in Brazil and Portugal, and VEJA spends nothing on advertising.
