Anthony: Skincare That Was Never Adapted From Anyone Else's

Anthony launched in New York in 2000 with a simple premise: skincare built specifically for men's skin, not adapted from someone else's. Twenty-five years on, the range is still just as narrow — and still does exactly what it says.

Most men's skincare is women's skincare with different packaging - the same formula, a darker bottle, a name change. Anthony started from the opposite premise. When it launched in New York City in 2000, the idea wasn't to adapt an existing range for men. It was to build one from nothing, specifically for men's skin.

Twenty-five years on, that's still the whole pitch - skincare that does the job without asking you to think about it much.

Results you can feel and see, without a routine that takes over your day.

Built from scratch, not repackaged

Anthony fuses natural ingredients with more current formulation technology, and every product in the range is dermatologist tested, cruelty-free and made in the USA. None of that is marketing waffle layered on afterwards, it's the standard the brand has held since 2000, before "clean" and "cruelty-free" were things skincare brands felt obliged to claim.

The range stays deliberately narrow. Cleansers, scrubs, serums and moisturisers - nothing that needs an eleven-step routine or a shelf to itself. The kind of skincare you can actually keep up with.

The three-step version

If you're starting from nothing, this is the sequence. The Glycolic Facial Cleanser does the daily work — a gentle exfoliating cleanser that clears without stripping. The Facial Scrub goes in a couple of times a week on top of that, for the deeper clean a daily cleanser can't manage on its own. The All Purpose Facial Moisturiser closes it out — lightweight enough for daily use, without the greasy finish that puts most men off moisturiser in the first place.

Three products, no confusion about the order, and nothing in the range trying to solve a problem you don't have.

Beyond the face

The range extends past facial care without losing the same restraint. The Invigorating Rush Hair + Body Wash covers both in one bottle — built for the shower routine that doesn't need three separate products doing overlapping jobs. The Blue Sea Kelp Body Scrub is the body's equivalent of the Facial Scrub — worth working in once or twice a week, particularly through winter when skin needs it more.

Nothing here is trying to be a lifestyle. It's a small, considered range built to do exactly what it says, and that's precisely the point.
