The Michigan Coat is Carhartt WIP's take on the chore coat — a silhouette that goes back to American workwear in the early 20th century. It's built from Dearborn Canvas, a heavyweight 100% organic cotton duck that Carhartt have been using since the brand started. Unlined, so it sits flat and layers easily. The corduroy collar is the detail that sets it apart from a standard chore coat and gives it a bit more warmth at the neck.

The Cozy Blue Stone Canvas colourway means the Dearborn Canvas has been stone-washed — the fabric arrives softer and with a slightly faded, lived-in character rather than the stiff raw canvas you'd get from the standard version. Triple-stitch seams throughout and patch pockets front and back. A coat that gets better the more it's used.
